Minor pacing issues, but overall good

I feel that when the pace of the song picked up, the pace of the fight should have increased significantly, and there should have been a short change of camera angle to make a good transition. However, the camera angle did not change very much at all, although it did pan smoothly, which made the movie seem SIGNIFICANTLY better than what it would have been like if the camera did not pan.

The fight was fluid and well thought out. The use of masks was good, but there were inconsistencies in the "eyelids" of the locks when it comes to outlining.

Well, it was a decent movie overall. Good luck with the recruiting!

LeafLock responds:

Thanks for your review! I thought i had fixed that problem with the eyelids, but I guess not. And truth be told, allot of this was guess work, I've never tried anything like this before. :3

I blew my mind

Sniff sniff.

Sad to see you go, and I sure hope you won't be leaving forever.

I'm glad I could make your stay on NG enjoyable :)

Pretty good

It had good lip sync and you showed emotion through the face pretty well. The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall the animation was good.

Great job, for a one day project.

quitestupid responds:

Your animations are awesome, thanks for the review!

Something to chew on:

About a year ago, I was playing a handheld game, while my brother was in the other room on the computer, with the volume up rather loud. I could tell that he was playing the same movie over and over.

When I went into the room to ask why he was watching the same movie ad nauseum, I found he was not watching the same movie repeatedly; he was actually watching the original DYHT.

I later watched the collab in its entirety on my own time, intrigued by the innovative concept of it. I wished to myself that if a second DYHT was ever made, I could be a part of it. Of course, it was a long shot. I knew everyone in the collab was hand picked, and there was no guarantee that a second one would ever be made.

Just my luck, about three months later I saw a front page news post concerning recruits for the next DYHT. Naturally, I was ecstatic. Once I was accepted, I decided to keep this bottled up until now:

GOAT-MAN, YOU MADE MY DREAMS COME TRUE.

I think I'm going to cry.

Graeme responds:

Ah shucks!
Glad to hear it (or did I hear it?)
You definately earned a spot on the team, I love your stuff and I still can't believe you're only 13!!!

You did great, and when I watched it with my older brother for the first time he laughed out loud at your -15hp bit :)
You'll have to go brag to your brother that you got to be in the sequel!
Does he use Newgrounds?

Brilliant.

Whenever I see an opinionated flash like this one, I always click on the 'all reviews' button, click the 'sort by rating' button, and then look at the last few pages for a good laugh. The poor defenseless idiots try so hard to stand up for their moronic Vblogging idols.

The voice acting was entertaining, and the animation was a good improvement on your last submission.

psychicpebbles responds:

thanks shuga ;D

Plot was okay, everything else was bad.

Oh goody, sprites! If you can't draw your own graphics, you could at least align the pixels without warping, skewing, or rotating them. What's the point of it looking retro if you can tell it's constructed on a vector graphic program. The handmade graphics didn't look very good next to the pixels either, especially when they were made with default gradients, obviously poor brush-tooling, and 1pt lines.

First of all, what's with the madness day loader? Can't make your own? You could at least alter the graphics and make them relevant, although you should really just make loaders from scratch if you want them to look good.

A walk cycle should always be properly aligned with the ground, regardless of whether you animated it or not. Most of the walking was either too fast or way too slow.

It's bad enough to not have any vocal work, but to reuse the same sound effects over and over gives me the impression that the author doesn't spend much time at all on audio.

Another thing that annoys me was the use of emoticons in text. What ever happened to facial expressions? They're much easier to draw when you make your own graphics.

Breaking the fourth wall can be funny at times, but doing it so many times consecutively wasn't so humorous.

There were various spelling errors in the text, most of which were minor, but some of which confused me and took me a while to understand.

Why did the brightness and shading keep changing? You could at least find high quality sprites before making a whole movie with mismatching ones.

Sorry if I sound like a jerk, I want to be helpful and hope you can improve in the future.

Shadic15 responds:

Wel thanks. Think this is still a helpful review. You pointed out all the weak points and I must admit, you're right -____-

You guys are doing great!

Keep making icons for a better tomorrow.

Keep serving your country. I mean, internet.

Rabid-Animals responds:

You're cool. :D

Nothing like a Lazymuffin birthday flash

How exciting. Also quite exciting to look at common interests on you wishlist. I had more in common with you than I thought.

Out of curiosity, do you alter your voice by the same amount each time you record for a movie, or do you give or take depending on what flows well?

LazyMuffin responds:

Mostly the same amount, yeah.

Deadly awesome

Seriously. I died 'cause this was so awesome. Luckily they have newgrounds in heaven. The only difference between heaven newgrounds and real newgrounds is Wade Fulp.

All jokes aside, this is probably one of the best collabs I've ever taken part in. I laughed. I cried. I laughed so hard I cried. I cried so hard I laughed, but then cried again because I laughing too hard. (this eventually led to crying.)

Best wishes to all who took part!

Archawn responds:

I got so hard I cried, then I laughed about it. Then I cried so hard I laughed, which made me hard.
