You should make it so when you pause a video the player doesn't go all dark. Sometimes I want to freeze-frame a cartoon and look at a nice drawing or smear or something

this is tom on lepy's account - watching stuff in firefox doesn't make the player go dark when you pause.

This bothers me too but I have a workaround - I put the video in fullscreen mode, which lets me pause it without going dark. Give it a try!
