Hey guys. It's my birthday.

My parents aren't big on surprising me with a gift. They usually ask what I want for my special day, and get just that. Sometimes I wonder why they even bother to wrap the gifts. Besides, if they didn't wrap it, I'd get to see it faster.

So... I guess in honor of the end of my thirteenth year on earth, I'm gonna do a recap on all the sh*t I did this year.

Around the time I got my official deviantart.com account, I started a series called '10 seconds of pure awesome.' The first six were compiled and put on newgrounds.

lol this really wasnt pure awesome... the gags were not that funny and the animation was decent but awesome is a bit of a stretch.

I was very concerned to find that thhis flash was not, in fact, composed of pure awesomeness. I believe that it was 52% awesomeness at best, therefore, you, sir, are guilty of false advertising.

Many others were deleted, most of them being zeroes. I just find it kind of entertaining that people actually got mad at me simply because they thought calling it 'awesome' was an overstatement. I guess newgrounders have a pretty high standard for use of the word awesome.

The playground song was my first real claim to fame on newgrounds.

I finally got a daily award, which just so happened to be 1st, and I also got my first ever frontpage, which stayed up for about four days. In retrospect, I can do much better fbf than I could back then, but I'm content with the 50k views it got.

I'm mentioning this one next only because my part was made right after the playground song was completed.
Goat-Man's Did you hear that? 2 was somewhat revolutionary for me. This is when I began making the backgrounds in a style similar to pure awesome, but left outlines on all the humans.

Po was originally my idea for the game trailer collab, but I decided to send it in solo after I accidentally animated it 1fps higher than the requirements.
This is also the point in time where my characters got noses again, after they were dropped in The Playstation Collab when I was twelve.
Also, Po is the first movie in which I used a slightly different method of lip synching, and I started shading my characters.

The Game Trailer Collab wasn't as well received as I had hoped, but I had fun making my part. I don't have much to say about it, but I mentioned it before, so I might as well have linked to it.

I learned some pretty important lessons with For the sake of robots.

1. Don't make the background music as loud as the the voices.
2. People don't find Goat-Man's mother voice as hilarious as I do.

I decided to use Goat-Man's voice of the mother because I kept cracking up while listening to his tryout, 'nuff said. He also did a great job as the adorable child Scottie. It got frontpaged for about 18 hours, which is enough for me to be happy.

The mentally challenged adventures of Jack and Mike- Epsiode 1 (sic) : 'Stairs' was made for TOFA 2010 in the open round. I made it to the next round, but I dropped out, mainly because I couldn't think of a good script for the next round. This was also the first animated appearance of the word 'sog,' although the first appearance on NG was in For The Sake Of Robots.

TO THIS DAY, 'SOG' APPEARS A TOTAL OF SEVEN TIMES THROUGHOUT MY ANIMATIONS AND GAMES. IF YOU FIND THEM ALL, PM THEM TO ME FOR A FREE SKETCH.

Ast*risk was a fake art game coded by me and animated by my brother Pjorg after we decided that many art games were overrated and pointless. Save your metaphors and hidden meanings for poetry, Gregory Weir. This game did pretty good for it's lousy graphics and gameplay, why? BECAUSE ALL ART GAMES ARE OVERRATED.

A conversation with Thundaboom made me realize I'm a bit of a tweenaholic. To cut back on all the tweening, I started to use FBF animation on all of the neck, down in Bob and Jerry, a short written and voiced by eyesadrift. Check him out, he's a great voice actor.
